I have been so busy since my last post, We are trying to upgrade our 1993 Dodge to a handicapped high roof van. I have purchased the lift, and paid for someone (a junkyard)to cut the top 18 inches off an other van plus the two doors. we need a 60 inch door opening for the commercial lift. I have a body man lined up to put all the pieces together. We are hopping to have it up and running by the end of August.

- I am a 71 year old Ex Seaman, retired Chef, Who use to drive Pennsylvania Amish any place they want to go. I have Post Polio, a diabetic. I also am a Korean War Veteran.I was in USAF from March 1953 to Febuary 1959, and sailed as a Merchant Marine cook from 1961 to 1979. I was on my last ship(the R/V Hero) for 7 years. It was a reasearch ship for the National Science Foundation, It worked the Antartic during the Austral summer and the coast of South America in the winter. We have two 15 passenger vans. We have a 98 Ford and a 93 Dodge, both white. The dodge is setup with the rear two seats removed making it have as much cargo space as in a full size pickup. I use the 93 Dodge to haul our handicapped carts, and the 98 Ford on family outings.
